Manuel Cabezalí is a reowned musician and music producer, and after talking to him for a short while, you can quickly gather two things: he is dedicated to his work and highly professional. However, what takes a bit longer to discover is that, most importantly, he's all about finding and conveying emotions. He's willing to do things that other producers might consider unorthodox to truly evoke those emotions.

And based on this quest for emotion, we built his value proposition. That's why we opted for a creative direction that combines sobriety and minimalism, contrasting with bold elements that act as a counterpoint. The detail that moves you is the one you don't expect, and the magic that Manuel seeks in all his productions is what we aimed to capture in his visual identity.

We wanted to steer clear of the typical resources often associated with the world of music and audio. So, we ventured into another universe very dear to him,Tolkien's world. Here we have synthesized versions of "The Door of Moria" and "The Eye of Sauron" that became a core part of the identity.

There's an element that is very present in Manuel's approach to treating guitars, and that also obsesses many other musicians, and it's the sound of 'fuzz.' It's a type of distortion but more extreme and with very distinctive sound qualitiessuch as lots of sustain, compression and harmonic richness. And we wanted to represent this important element by adding a very generous amount of grain to all the images.

The result

A minimalistic and meaningful visual identity. A custom-designed website developed in Webflow, with an easy-to-use and intuitive CMS to update all the content.

I'm extremely happy with the result because I feel that it represents me and reflects who I am. As a producer, I'm someone who treats the artist and their songs with the utmost care and respect, but I always seek playfulness and novelty in what I do. I feel that I now have a showcase to the world that's saying exactly that. And it even includes references to Tolkien! I greatly appreciate Teresa's efforts in taking care of each and every aspect of the project. I couldn't be happier with the decision to work with Algobueno on my brand.
